Mafia / Werewolf

🎯 Objective Setup * Choose one player to be the Moderator (they run the game but don't play). * The Moderator assigns everyone a secret role: * Mafia – secretly working together to eliminate others * Villagers – trying to figure out who the Mafia are * (Optional roles – special powers explained below) * Roles can be given out on slips of paper or whispered. Recommended role counts: * 6 players: 2 Mafia, 4 Villagers * 7–8 players: 2 Mafia, 1 special role, rest Villagers * 9–11 players: 3 Mafia, 2 special roles, rest Villagers * 12+ players: 3–4 Mafia, and any mix of extra roles 🌙 Night phase 1. Everyone closes their eyes. 2. The Moderator says: "Mafia, wake up." Mafia open their eyes and silently agree on one player to eliminate (point and nod only — no whispering!). 3. Mafia close their eyes. 4. If using an optional role, the moderator calls on them one at a time (e.g. "Doctor, wake up…", "Seer, wake up…") to perform their actions silently. 🌞 Day phase * Everyone opens their eyes. * The Moderator announces who was eliminated — unless they were saved by the Doctor. * The group discusses, accuses, lies, defends, and tries to figure out who the Mafia are. * The group votes to eliminate one player. The eliminated player reveals their role and is out of the game. * The next night begins. 🏆 Ending the game * Villagers win when all Mafia have been eliminated. * Mafia win when they equal or outnumber the Villagers. Optional roles & variations * Doctor – Each night, chooses someone to protect. If that person is targeted by the Mafia, they survive. * Seer – Each night, picks a player to "reveal." The Moderator confirms whether that player is Mafia. * Hunter – If eliminated, they choose someone to eliminate with them. * Cupid – Links two players as "lovers." If one dies, so does the other. * Jester – Secretly wins by getting themselves eliminated.
